DARE Officer Tammy Silvers



    Deputy Tammy Silvers is a graduate of Northwest High School and has attended Dalton State College. Officer Silvers has been with the department since 1986. She has worked in Communications, Identification, and Patrol. In May of 1995 Officer Silvers graduated from DARE Officer training and became a certified DARE instructor. At her DARE graduation she was given the Most Outstanding Team Member Award. Because of her commitment to the children of Whitfield County, she was voted officer of the year along with Sgt. Darlene Gibson in 1997. Officer Tammy Silvers has become an exceptional DARE instructor and an excellent role model for the young people in our community. Officer Silvers is also married to another Whitfield County Deputy, Officer Jeff Silvers.
